TORONTO — What does safety mean through the eyes of a child?

This year’s ºÚÁÏÉçion Safety Week Kids Art Contest hosted by Gillam Group is a showcase of what today’s youth are thinking when it comes to jobsite safety and its importance.
The contest was open to the children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews of Gillam team members under the age of 12.

While all the submissions were excellent, Gillam reports two illustrations really stood out to the judges.

The winner was 10-year-old Jakobi L., who drew a comic strip illustrating a struck-by incident on the jobsite. Gabriella G. and Emma T., both nine, placed second with their creation, Set a Safety Example, which featured a PPE checklist. All the winners will receive a gift card.
