Metso breaks ground in Western Canada with new service centre in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Metso, which provides installation, commissioning, inspection and maintenance services, recently celebrated the groundbreaking of its new service centre in Prince George, B.C.

Located in a well-known mining region, the facility is meant to support growing customer demand, particularly in the copper and gold sectors.

Metso will offer OEM-certified onsite inspections, service solutions and off-site repairs, with the  centre expected to be fully operational by early 2026, explains a release.

The centre will service a wide range of mining equipment from pit to port, including crushing, grinding, screening, filtration, flotation, slurry handling, thickening, clarifying, loading and hauling solutions, chute lining and more. It will also offer warehousing capabilities for spare and wear parts.

The new facility will also create employment opportunities for service engineers and technical specialists, the release adds.
